About Events at Stanford
Events at Stanford is Stanford
University’s new central source for event information.
The service includes the online calendar of events
(http://events.stanford.edu)
and a network of video screens at high traffic Stanford locations that together
offer a broad overview of campus activities. Using Events at Stanford, members
of the Stanford community can take full advantage of the breadth of on-campus
events, from lectures and concerts to athletics and cultural activities.
The Events at Stanford website is developed and maintained by the
Office of University Communications.
Innovative Student Information Services (ISIS)
is responsible for the network of video displays and is also working on additional innovations
to improve communication of campus event information.

The Events at Stanford
website offers a comprehensive listing of Stanford events, with detailed
information about each activity. Users can search by date or event category,
and can e-mail or transfer event details to personal calendars. Since its launch
in May 2003, over 300 Calendar Administrators, representing a diverse set of
groups and departments, have signed up to post events to the site.
Any Stanford group or department can designate a Calendar
Administrator, who can submit group events to the website. To

Events at Stanford Video Network
The Events at Stanford Video Network includes flat-panel LCD
video displays that deliver vivid event information to key campus locations
such as dining halls, department lobbies and student centers. These high-visibility
video screens allow activity organizers to far exceed the capability of a paper
flyer by using video to convey a realistic sense of what to expect at their
events. The Stanford community experiences the diversity of campus events while
casually viewing video screens at locations they visit each day.
After the beginning of fall quarter, calendar administrators
can submit video to the video screens through the Events
at Stanford website. Video creation is easy and offers an exciting way to
