Lively Arts: Nederlands Dans Theater II

Nederlands Dans Theater II is a vigorous celebration of European dans theater, exuberance, and youth. This corps of classically trained modern dancers under the age of 21 makes an astoundingly surefooted Bay Area debut that will prove to be unforgettable. Founded by Jir? Kyli?n in 1978 as a training ground for his main company, Nederlands Dans Theater I, the troupe delivers technically precise, impossibly supple, and unabashedly witty performances of original work. Under Executive Artistic Director Gerald Tibbs, it consistently nails complex programs that are often riskier than those adopted by the main company. According to Le Figaro, the gifted NDT II "already possesses the feline flexibility and capable technique of NDT."
