SFS Fall Recruitment Meeting

The Stanford Film Society (SFS) exists to foster the appreciation of film, and we stand as the only campus group devoted to its meaningful study. We aim to give students the opportunity to approach all aspects of film and filmmaking in a serious, meaningful, and in-depth manner. Furthermore, we hope to make a contribution to the world of film by sponsoring and advocating the development of creative interests in the medium. With an understanding of film, Stanford students can use it to communicate their own messages to the rest of the community and perhaps the world.

What We Do:

* Host weekly film series

* Bring speakers to campus

* Organize advance screenings

* Go out to see films

* Make films

* Discuss film

* The Student Filmmakers' Workshop (SFW)

* The United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF)

* The Annual Halloween Screening

* The Pumpkin Pie Project

* The Stanford Student Film Festival

Come see how you can get involved with these events or create new events of your own!
