This Wednesday, David Woodward, an assistant Director from the Management Communication Program in the Graduate School of Business, will make a special guest appearance and give a talk on "Communicating Power". His talk will describe and demonstrate techniques employed by great orators that we can use to increase the impact of anything we might want to say - making us and our message quotable and memorable.

Do you fear public speaking, but need to teach a class? Is your research top-notch, but you have difficulty communicating complicated ideas to others? Would you like to learn how to persuade with power, or how to be an effective leader that will inspire others?

Now you can do something about it! Come check out Toastmasters, where you will transform yourself into a masterful public speaker and an inspirational, effective leader. At each meeting, you can practice giving prepared presentations or short impromptu speeches in front of a supportive audience. You can practice organizing and running a meeting, or develop your leadership skills. Learn by watching others, from the personal, constructive feedback you will receive, or from our experienced mentors.
