DAM: Palestinian Hip Hop

DAM, the leading Palestinian hip hop group, are touring the Bay Area for the first time this month and making a stop at Stanford! DAM are from the town of Lod in Israel and perform their songs in Arabic, Hebrew and English. Their primary themes are life under occupation, the importance of peaceful resistance and women's rights in the Arab World.

The Coalition for Justice in the Middle East invites you to attend their concert at Chi Theta Chi on Friday, November 16th. The show will start at 8pm and you may want to get there a little early. Weather permitting, it will be held outside and you will need your SUID to attend. Don't miss this unique chance to experience a

fusion of traditional Arabic and Middle Eastern sounds with urban rap music and a keen socio-political awareness!

Also featuring Von and hip hop expert H. Samy Alim.
