Take an excessively dutiful pirate apprentice, an independent daughter of a modern Major-General, a muddled nanny, and a swashbuckling Pirate King, add in a shipload of orphan pirates, a bevy of beautiful maidens (all sisters), and a division of easily intimidated policemen, and you have the recipe for an evening of fun and delight.
