TERRY WAITE, Humanitarian, Hostage & Hostage Negotiator

As a diplomat in the 1980s, Terry Waite successfully negotiated the release of hostages in Iran and Libya before he himself was taken hostage in Lebanon for over four years. Since his 1991 release, Waite has tirelessly worked for the world's most needy by founding Y Care International and heading several humanitarian efforts.
