Anthony Montanino's paintings are in numerous collections including that of the rock star, Madonna. He has a the ability to work in different styles at the same time and a well-earned reputation for both his stunning urban landscapes and his figuratives of San Franciscomusicians. Paintings of Victorian and other homes are often commissioned for private collections.
His work has graced album covers and event posters and is a sought after contribution to invitational art exhibitions, including the prestigious Crocker-Kingsley biannual.
Montanino studied with Jack Ogden at California State University, Sacramento, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He has had numerous solo exhibits and was the recipient of the California State Fair Award of Excellence in 1989, 92, 96 and 1998. He was also the subject of several profiles in the Sacramento Bee and honored with the 1985-86 Robinson-Witt Memorial Fellowship. In 2002 he was awarded the Sacramento Contemporary Arts Award at the California State Fair.
