Bio-X Faculty Spotlight: Studying Human Health Issues

You are invited to join us for two special presentations by Bio-X faculty. Professor Chaitan Khosla’s talk: “Celiac Sprue: An Engineer's Journey into Biomedicine” will explore his research and personal experience with the chemistry and biology of Celiac disease, an immune disorder of the intestinal tract. Professor Stacey Bent will discuss her research on macular degeneration, a condition of the eye where the retina is damaged. Bent's research team has developed a new design for an implant that converts light into chemicals that in turn stimulates nerve cells.
