Update on Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia is a disorder of unknown cause characterized by widespread pain, abnormal pain processing, sleep disturbance, fatigue and often psychological distress. According to the CDC, the prevalence of fibromyalgia is about 2%, affecting an estimated 5 million adults in 2005. Dr. Mackey will discuss our current understanding of the pathology, diagnosis and treatment of fibromyalgia.
