Reading/signing of "A Patent Lie" by author Professor Paul Goldstein

This event is part of the Robert Crown Law Library's Reference Lounge Readings series and is being co-hosted by Stanford Law and Technology Association (SLATA).

Home-baked sweets served! Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch.

Paul Goldstein is a writer, lawyer and teacher. He is the author of two novels on intellectual property themes, Errors and Omissions (Doubleday 2006) and A Patent Lie (Doubleday 2008). He joined the Stanford Law School faculty in 1975. He is the Lillick Professor of Law at Stanford Law School and is Of Counsel to the law firm of Morrison & Foerster LLP.

"A Patent Lie, the new novel by Paul Goldstein, trumps John Grisham's work in every way - character, setting, plot and the prose - and gives readers interested in the drama of a high-value legal case a great reward for their attention... Goldstein narrates all this so skillfully - from jury selection to final judgment - that even novices at the law can understand it without the author having to sacrifice any of the complex chemistry of the case" (Alan Cheuse, NPR's All Things Considered, July 16, 2008).

The Stanford Bookstore will have a table where Goldstein's books will be available for purchase.
