ERIC JACOBSON is Senior Lecturer in Jewish Studies at Roehampton University London and the 2008 Kurt David Br?hl Guest Professor in Jewish Studies at the University of Graz, Austria. He is the author of Metaphysics of the Profane: The Political Theology of Walter Benjamin and Gershom Scholem (New York: Columbia University Press 2003) and co-editor of Weiterwohnlichkeit der Welt.
