Understanding Asia's Changing Role in Global Innovation

Dr. Richard Dasher, Director, US-Asia Technology Management Center, Stanford, begins the US-ATMC regular autumn series of weekly Thursday public seminars. Following an examination of recent indications of the globalization of R&D, Dasher discusses how Asian R&D is shifting from a role of outsource service providing to a partnership model in which companies are additionally looking for more complex innovation, e.g. new product ideas, from their Asian counterparts.
