Award-Winning Teachers on Teaching series. Professor Scott D. Sagan, Department of Political Science and Co-Director, Center for International Security and Cooperation. Can arms control negotiations help prevent the further spread of nuclear weapons? Each winter, Stanford students engage in a simulated nonproliferation conference seeking to place constraints on nuclear arsenal programs. We will explore how these negotiations have been run, their intriguing results, and the lessons learned for education and diplomacy.
