On November 13th, the Mathematics department at Stanford University is holding another talk in the deLeeuw Memorial Lecture Series. This year, Marcus W. Feldman from Stanford's Department of Biological Sciences will be speaking on "On the Mathematics of Genomic Imprinting."
The deLeeuw lecture series was initiated in 1978 to honor the memory of Karel deLeeuw, a member of the Stanford Department of Mathematics from 1957 to 1978. The series consists of lectures aimed at a general, scientifically literate audience.
