3rd Annual Town Hall Meeting on Investment Responsibility at Stanford:
For more than 37 years, Stanford's APIR-L has continued to address allegations of substantial social injury related to endowment-held public companies. Although companies and the countries in which they do business have changed, the Core Social Issues remain the same. Those Core Issue Categories include:
?Diversity/Non-Discrimination
?Human Rights
?Labor
?Environmental Sustainability
?Tobacco, and
?Other Miscellaneous Issues from Political Nonpartisanship, to Military Contracting, Weapons Production, and Sales.
Many of the issues related to unethical corporate social behavior and/or practices have been brought to the attention of Stanford's APIR-L by Stanford Community Constituents like you.
The APIR-L is currently updating Investment Responsibility Core Social Issue Policy and Proxy Voting Guidelines. Because members of the Advisory Panel have been appointed to represent you, we believe that it's important not only to introduce you to your representatives but to hear from you about your concerns.
