Advances in Weight Loss Surgery at Stanford

Obesity is a disease of epidemic proportions in the US and surgery remains an option for sustained weight loss. Dr. Morton will discuss the current surgical management of morbid obesity including the introduction of a new procedure, lap- banding. He will also give an overview of the bariatric surgery program at Stanford including robotic bariatric surgery and weight loss surgery for kids.
