Nanophotonics Workshop

The topic of the next Stanford Photonics Research Center (SPRC) all-day Focused Workshop will be Nanophotonics, to be held at Stanford on Saturday, January 24, 2004. The Sessions are:

Fundamental Issues in Nanophotonics (Shanhui Fan, Session Chair)

Photonic Crystals (Jelena Vuckovic, Session Chair)

Metallic Nano-Structures (Mark Brongersma, Session Chair)

Nanophotonics Panel Discussion (Lambertus Hesselink, Moderator and Panel Organizer)

Invited speakers include Sajeev John of the University of Toronto, John Pendry of Imperial College (UK), Philip Russell, of the University of Bath (UK), Axel Scherer of Cal Tech, and Vladimir Shalaev of Purdue University. Invitees to this closed meeting include SPRC member companies, Stanford students and faculty, and invited guests.
