Elaine Pagels to lead Harry Camp Memorial Seminar

Princeton University Religious Historian Elaine Pagels will lead the first of two Camp Memorial seminars to discuss ideas and issues raised in her lectures.

She will give a lecture on Monday, January 26 at Cubberley Auditorium at the School of Education and another on Wednesday, January 28 at 5 p.m. at the Law School, Room 290 and lead another lecture discussion at the Stanford Humanities Center on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Pagels, a Stanford alum, is currently the Harrington Spear Paine Foundation Professor of Religion at Princeton, where she has taught since 1982. The author of many wide-ranging essays, her books include the bestseller "The Gnostic Gospels," "The Origin of Satan," and most recently "Beyond Belief: The Secret Gospel of Thomas."
