Donald Gelpis, S.J., teaches systematic theology at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. Among his many books are "Experiencing God," "The Divine Mother" (on the Spirit), "Committed Worship" (on the sacraments), and "The First Born of Many: A Christology for Converting Christians." He is now writing a historical study of the developing conception of Church.
