"The Paradox of the Church: Reflections on coping with scandal"

DONALD GELPI ON THE CENTENNIAL SPEAKERS SERIES:

"THE PARADOX OF THE CHURCH: REFLECTIONS ON COPING WITH SCANDAL"

Donald Gelpis, S.J., teaches systematic theology at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley. Among his many books are "Experiencing God," "The Divine Mother" (on the Spirit), "Committed Worship" (on the sacraments), and "The First Born of Many: A Christology for Converting Christians." He is now writing a historical study of the developing conception of Church. Fr Gelpi has said Mass and preached a number of times in our community, and his reflections on the nature of the Church at this critical time will be stimulating and

challenging.
