Stanford Concert Network and the CoHo present Seconds on End as part of their weekly CoHo series, every Thursday night.
Having last made their on-campus appearance at Enchanted Broccoli Forest, Seconds On End returns to Stanford to rock the CoHo. Seconds on End is an up-and-coming San Francisco band boasting an original sound is of rock, funk, folk, Caribbean intoxicatingly mixed. The incendiary style of jamming and a relentless groove created by the six-piece moves listeners, body and soul.
From a band formed over the Wonder Bread factory in nearby Redwood City in 2000, Seconds on End evolved to release their first studio album, the Glow, in 2002. It was entirely recorded, produced and mixed by the band. The record showcases the diverse strengths of the band's songwriters and vocalists. With finely hewn songs and a focus on improvisation and soaring vocal harmonies, the Glow proved that Seconds on End produced music no short of inspiring. Catch Seconds On End as they bring their distinctive brand of improvisational rock to the CoHo on January 29.
