Who Killed Daniel Pearl?

Prominent French author and journalist Bernard-Henri Levy will discuss his recent book, "Who Killed Daniel Pearl" and his investigation retracing Pearl's final days before he disappeared. Pearl, a Wall Street Journal reporter and graduate of Stanford's Department of Communication, was kidnapped in Pakistan in January 2002 and later killed. A journalism internship in his honor has been established at Stanford. Levy is the author of 30 books, including works of philosophy, fiction and biography. He has held several diplomatic positions with the French government, most recently appointed by French President Jacques Chirac in 2002 to head a fact-finding mission to Afghanistan in the wake of the war against the Taliban, a war that Levy supported. The Levy talk at Stanford has been rescheduled from December, when Levy had to cancel because he was participating in the signing of the Geneva Accord, an unofficial agreement between Israeli and Palestinian representatives in Geneva.
