"Betty Shabazz: the Ambassadorship of Martyrdom" by Russell Rickford

Russell Rickford, Ph.D. Candidate, History, Columbia University, New York, is former correspondent for The Philadelphia Inquirer and author of "Betty Shabaaz: Her Life with Malcolm X and Fight to Preserve his Legacy" and co-author of the American Book Award winning "Spoken Soul: The Story of Black English." He received his B.A. with Honors, Magna Cum Laude, from Howard University, where he also served as two years as president of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, the nation's oldest black fraternity with members such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and David Dinkins.
