Hanoch Levin: The Labor of Life

In celebration of the publication of The Labor of Life: Selected Plays by Hanoch Levin, translated by Barbara Harshav, with an introduction by Freddie Rokem (Stanford University Press, 2003), please join us for an evening of presentations and performances based on the works of Hanoch Levin, the playwright who revolutionized the Israeli theater. The event will feature a presentation by Israeli Professor of Drama Freddi Rokkem, a talk by Barbara Harshav on Levin and her collaboration with him, short scenes from various Levin plays, performances of songs with lyrics written by Levin, and a question and answer session. A reception and screening of the Israeli feature film (with English subtitles) "Fantasy on a Romantic Theme," written by Hanoch Levin, will follow.
