The Third Annual International Development Conference seeks not only to highlight emerging trends and strategies for international development, but also to present and commend organizations already making a difference in this field. The Conference will feature as keynote speaker: Debra Dunn, the Senior VP of Corporate Affairs at HP and leader for HP's global citizen efforts including social and environmental responsibility, corporate philanthropy, and initiatives aimed at providing appropriate, technology-based services to emerging markets and underserved populations.
Following will be a panel of development practitioners, including Lee Davis of NESsT, Michael MacHarg of One World Health, Shari Berenbach of the Calvert Foundation, Dr. Nicholas Hope of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research and formerly of the World Bank, and Donovan Cook of Save the Children.
After the Conference, students seeking summer employment or internships may meet Bay Area NGOs, socially responsible businesses and other organizations at the International Development Exhibition from 3pm-5pm.
Pre-register online at said.stanford.edu or at 12.30pm on February 7th.
