BASES I-Challenge: "How to Present and Write Your Innovation/Research Effectively"

Dave Lougee, the Director of the School of Engineering's Technical Communications Program, will talk about how to communicate your work effectively in writing to varied audiences. Jon Dunn, Head Instructor in the Technical Communications Program's "Public Speaking" course, will run a workshop on how to plan and deliver persuasive oral presentations.

In this interactive workshop, you'll be able to learn how to write a grant proposal for funding; effective methods in showcasing innovation to funding agencies; how to present your research/innovation in two minutes to people who aren't technically trained; how top present your research/innovation in ten minutes to people who are interested in following your work
