Come join me for a quick winter getaway to Henry Coe SP.
Who: You and your Redwood family
What: Beginner/Intermediate backpacking
When: Morning of Feb 21 - mid to late afternoon Feb 22. Also a mandatory
organizational meeting at the gearshed at 7pm on Feb 18.
Where: Henry Coe SP
Why: Because you need to frickin' get outdoors!
Henry Coe is a huge park, very close to us - about an hour away. During the summer it gets much too hot to hike there, so we'll take advantage of the cooler February weather. You can see photos from my last hike there (around this time of year last year) at:

As an added bonus this will also be a Geocaching trip. Geocaching is a type of scavenger hunt where people hide things in the woods, post their
exact location online, and we go hunt it down with our GPS. For more information see: http://www.geocaching.com/";>http://www.geocaching.com/
I have a busy quarter so I'm going to try to keep this trip on the short side. We will be gone all day Saturday but hopefully get back around 3-4
on Sunday.
If you're interested please attend the mandatory meeting at the gearshed, 7pm, Feb 18. Also send me e-mail including:
