In this workshop, the presenters will reflect on licensing, patents and issues associated to commercialization of innovations from two unique perspectives.

From WSGR, Catherine Kirkman and George Willman will explain how inventors work with legal counsel to protect and commercialize their inventions. They'll discuss how to secure patents and other intellectual property rights, and review strategies and deal terms involved in licensing and commercializing these rights.

From Stanford's Office of Technology Licensing, Katharine Ku and Linda Chao will take out the mystery out of patents and licenses. You'll be able to find out what kinds of inventions are licensed, and how patents fit into the commercialization picture.ýIn addition, learn about some of the issues involved in protecting your invention or software.ý

This is your chance to quiz OTL about what they do.
