Dinner and Politics in the City

Students are invited to hear Robert Kagan speak about his book, Of Paradise and Power. Transportation will be provided from Stanford and dinner is included in San Francisco.

Mr Kagan's profie:

Contributing Editor, The Weekly Standard; Columnist, The Washington Post; Senior Associate and Director, US Leadership Project, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace

Mr. Kagan believes that today's conflicts between the US and Europe are more than just random policy disputes or products of the Bush administration's foreign policy style. Rather, they reflect a more profound estrangement rooted in the military power gap between the US and Europe. The result is a growing divergence in strategic views and an eroding solidarity.
