Jeff Mathy is an accomplished climber and outdoorsman, who set out to break the world record being the youngest person to climb all seven summits: that is Kilimanjaro in Africa, Kosciuszko in Australia, Aconcagua in South America, Denali in North America, Vinson Massif in Antarctica, Elbrus in Europe, and 29,035 ft Mt. Everest in Asia.
Twenty-five year old Jeff will be speaking about his experiences climbing The Seven Summits, the successes he has achieved, and failures he has overcome. He will be using slides and video taken from his adventures captivate and challenge the audience?s perception of success.
"I love the feeling I get when I am a few hours from summiting a large mountain," Mathy remarks. "All the months of preparation, all the sweat that's run down my nose and dripped off my chin, all the burn I've felt in my muscles. Just below the summit, when my heart is pounding and my chest is heaving to get more air inside my body, that's the best feeling. I know the top is within my reach."
