Food Waste in America: A Wasted Opportunity

Americans waste more than 40 percent of the food we produce for consumption. That comes at an annual cost of more than $100 billion. At the same time, food prices and the number of Americans without enough to eat continues to rise.

Freelance journalist and author Jonathan Bloom will be speaking about current book, profiling American food waste and strategies to counter this growing problem.

Free and open to the public.

Event will be held in the History Corner, Bldg. 200, Room 203.
