Getting it Right: Motherhood or Career?

Laraine T. Zappert, Ph.D.,

Dr. Zappert has been at Stanford University for 26 years, researching issues of women, work and well being. She is the mother of two current Stanford graduate students. Although she is not convinced that careers and motherhood are always compatible, Dr. Zappert currently works as a psychologist in private practice at Stanford, teaches in the Department of Psychiatry, and directs the Sexual Harassment Policy Office at the University.
