SCN Coho Series presents: Angie Mattson

Angie's soulful voice and moody, confessing lyrics are both fresh and captivating. Her

songs have been described as inspiring and emotional, inspiring comparisons to Beth Orton, Dido and Aimee Mann. A Michigan native now living in LA, Mattson performed as a singer, dancer and actress in the theatre throughout her youth. After post-college life in Tokyo and Florida, she took to life sailing the Caribbean, where she was inspired to write most of her songs. Now in California, she plays acoustic gigs throughout the area, her music has inspired reviews like "genuine, soulful and endearing" (Kings of A & R) and "(the) perfect balance of smart lyrics and soulful vocals" (writer/director Marcos Efron).
