Presidential Lecture features Isabel Allende, New York Times Bestselling Author

New York Times Bestselling Author Isabel Allende will deliver the final Presidential and Endowed Lecture of the 2003-2004 academic year. Her lecture entitled "A Sense of Place" discusses her most recent book "My Invented Country" and her immigration story. There will be a follow-up lecture discussion the following day at the Humanities Center at 4 p.m.

Her book "Daughter of Fortune" was a New York Times Bestseller and one of Oprah's book club selections. Allende's books also include "City of Beasts," "Portrait in Sepia," and "The House of Spirits."
