Bearing Witness in Graduate School

Carrie Bare will be speaking on "Bearing Witness in Graduate School." She led seminars on evangelism in the academic context at the recent Urbana National Missions Conference. Carrie has given much thought to the special opportunities and difficulties we face in witnessing to Christ in the University.

Carrie graduated from Whitworth College, a small Christian liberal arts school in Spokane, Washington. She has been on staff with InterVarsity since the mid-1970s in the Bay Area and in Minnesota, where she and her husband, Randy, pioneered what is now InterVarsity's national grad and faculty ministry. She and Randy have two sons, Alex and Tim and their family lives in Oakland. Carrie is currently the Area Director for IV's grad and faculty ministry for the entire western region of the country and she also devotes time to the Cal Berkeley grad fellowship.
