Kickball Classic

The Kickball Classic is an annual event hosted by the Stanford chapter (Alpha Pi) of the Kappa Alpha Order for the purpose of raising money to support a charity organization. This year all the proceeds from the event will benefit MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). The fundraiser consists of approximately 20 teams (10 players on each team) participating in a double elimination kickball tournament on Roble Field, Saturday May 8. The entry fee is $100 for each ten-person team. Teams from both Stanford and the local community are welcome to participate. A representative from MDA will be present so that students can learn more about what the benefiting organization does and what the entry fee is helping to support. The winning team will have its name etched on a special-edition, commemorative trophy as well as receive championship t-shirts. A raffle will be held to give away prizes and there will be free food and a live band. Stanford KA donates its time and all costs to put on the event. Everyone who helps with the event will receive a special Kickball Classic tank top. Setup will begin at 10am, games will begin soon thereafter, and food will arrive around noon.
