Environmentalism in Israel and the Middle East

A lunchtime panel on Environmentalism in Israel and the Middle East. Panelist Professor Marc Heldman will discuss a joint Israeli-Jordanian research center in the dead sea region, and Stanfordýs important role in the collaboration. Panalist Shanna Pitman, who currently works for the Jewish Global Environmental Network (JGEN:http://www.jgenisrael.org/) and has worked in the past at the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel (SPNI, American supporters:http://www.aspni.org/), will discuss Environmental challenges currently in Israel and what the Green movements in Israel are doing about it.
