In "Rise of the Vulcans", James Mann tells the 35-year history of the members of George W. Bush's "war cabinet" and the generation they represent. Mann presents a collective biography of six key players: Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Richard Armitage, Paul Wolfowitz and Condolezza

Rice--a group of individuals who served in government in the past, returned to office in 2001, and took charge of America's response to September 11th, leading the nation into its wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
