SALT, by Migdalia Cruz

Directed by Micaela Diaz-Sanchez

Originally commissioned by the Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago, SALT portrays a family fighting for existence in the salt mounds on the South Side of Chicago. Written in what Cruz has called "poetic realism," SALT is a story of those whom we have forgotten and disregarded: they are the survivors and they are the poets.
