Chicano & Latino Community Awards Banquet

The Third Annual Stanford Chicano & Latino Community Awards Banquet is presented by Chicana/o Studies Program, Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity, El Centro Chicano and the Stanford Alumni Association. Student, Alumni, Staff and Faculty Awards are presented at the Banquet.

The Banquet follows the Eighteenth Annual Ernesto Galarza Commemorative Lecture. This year, Luis Valdez, founder and artistic director of El Teatro Campesino will deliver the Galarza lecture. The Lecture is free and open to the public.

Schedule

4:15 pm -- Lecture begins, followed by a reception with performances by El Mariachi Cardenal, El Ballet Folklorico de Stanford, and L@s Salser@s de Stanford.

6:00 pm -- Awards Banquet with Special Recognition to Renato I. Rosaldo, Jr. , Lucie Stern Professor in the Social Sciences, Department of Cultural and Social Anthropology.
