Ron Stallings: A Context for Peace

Bay Area saxophonist Ron Stallings created his mixed media piece "A Context for Peace" within the time-honored tradition of artist as social spokesperson. Stallings will draw from his deep community of committed and passionate Bay Area musicians and poets for an evening of jazz works and spoken word, all dedicated to creating a vision, and a context, for peace. A distinguished jazz saxophonist, composer and educator, Stallings has performed with McCoy Tyner, Chucho Valdes and John Santos. He presented his fascinating and rewarding "Context for Peace" to great acclaim at Berkeley's La Peña Cultural Center last December.
