Stanford Jazz Workshop All Star Jam Session

Nothing says jazz quite like the spontaneity of a good, old-fashioned, horns wailing, cymbals crashing, piano vibrating jam session. And rarely will such a show equal the fire power that will be crowded onto the stage for our annual faculty All-Star Jam Session. With the saxophone trailblazer Dave Liebman trading licks with firebrands Eric Alexander and Andrew Speight, piano thunder by Harold Mabern and Geoffrey Keezer, guitar lightning by Mundel Lowe, drumming by Jimmy Cobb and vocals by the wonderful Madeline Eastman and Dena Derose—and that's just a partial list—this promises to be a special night of improvisational splendor.
