9th Stanford-Berkeley Law and Colonialism Symposium: Law, Colonialism and Children in Africa

This symposium seeks to use disputes over children and disputes over the rights to children to examine the social and legal histories of the "family" during the colonial era. Daylong symposium will include three panels.

8:30-9:30: Registration & Continental Breakfast.

9:30-11:30: Panel One - Criminal Law and Juvenile Delinquency.

1:00-3:00: Panel Two - Courts and Politics.

3:30-5:30: Panel Three - Jural Rights Of and Over Girls.

5:30-7:00: Closing Remarks & Reception
