Jazz & the Music of Brazil

You're in for a fantastic night when great musicians like guitarist Ray Scott and vocalist Liza Silva get together to merge the high-octane rhythms of Brazil with the splendors of jazz. A Sao Paulo native, Silva has toured the world, both with famed Brazilian keyboardist Walter Wanderley and on her own, sharing her energized fusion of Brazilian, American and Latin beats. Talented Bay Area guitarist Ray Scott, who's performed with everyone from Jerry Garcia to Jon Hendricks, has a talent for assembling terrific bands. He's hand picked a group of SJW faculty members to provide fire to this impassioned evening of Brazilian jazz.
