SLAC Colloquium: Professor Bulent Atalay, "Math and the Mona Lisa"

Bulent Atalay presents an illustrated lecture on Leonardo da Vinci's multifaceted interests as artist and scientist. The lecture is based on his recently released book, 'Math and the Mona Lisa: The Art and Science of Leonardo da Vinci' (Smithsonian Books). The most significant message of the book is precisely Leonardo's own modus operandi: "It is important to be curious, it is important to explore different intellectual worlds, but it is essential to seek their connections."
