Pablo Neruda Centennial Celebration

Pablo Neruda’s centennial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 18th, at 5 p.m. in the Stanford Humanities Center. Professors from the Spanish and Portuguese Department—Gordon Brotherston, Michael Predmore, Jorge Ruffinelli—and John Felstiner from English will speak about the Nobel Prize winner. Neruda’s voice will be heard, and there will be an exhibition of memorabilia and first editions of the poet.

The Neruda celebration at Stanford is sponsored by the DLCL Research Unit's Poetry, Poetology, and Poetics Workshop, the Spanish and Portuguese Department, and the English Department.
