San Francisco Chamber Orchestra: La Belle France

From the country that brought us the baguette, the bikini, and beryllium comes some of the most beautiful and brilliant music ever written. Benjamin Simon conducts the program La Belle France including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 31 in D Major (“Paris”), Jean Françaix’s Divertissement for Bassoon & String Orchestra featuring bassoon virtuosa Karla Ekholm, François Couperin’s Les Gouts Reuinis, and Maurice Ravel’s Le Tombeau du Couperin.  (Seating is first come, first served; doors open at 2:15. SFCO supporting members receive priority entrance and seating.)
