Bach's St. Matthew Passion with Schola Cantorum under the Direction of Gregory Wait

Surround yourself with the glorious music of western civilization’s supreme masterpiece, Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, which will be sung in German. This rarely performed work is presented in the sublime acoustic of Stanford Memorial Church with double chorus, double orchestra and eight soloists, including Brian Thorsett as the Evangelist and Kenneth Goodson, portraying Jesus.

A collaboration of the Stanford Office for Religious Life, Department of Music and Schola Cantorum, this is a ticketed free concert.
