Picturing Humanity: Photographer Joseph Rodriguez takes an inside look at the outsider

Joseph Rodriguez is an internationally recognized, award-winning documentary photographer who brings an intimate lens to scenes and people often distorted by mass media. Whether photographing gang youth on the streets of East Los Angeles, migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, civilians caught in the crossfire in Afghanistan or Muslims on the margins of Western European society, Rodriguez, born and raised in Brooklyn, uses the camera to reveal the hidden subject.
