"The English Concert and its new leader do indeed appear to be under a magic spell...jumping with life, playing with the kind of panache that makes your spirits sing." -- Times (London)
A magnificent violinist and insatiable music scholar, Andrew Manze is heralded for his imagination, innovative interpretations, and irresistible charm. Since Manze became artistic director of the English Concert in 2003, the world-renowned, Baroque period-instrument ensemble has had critics outdoing themselves in praise of the fresh interpretation of familiar works and the electrified spirit that permeates their performance. Included in the program are two Vivaldi violin concertos featuring Manze.
